She's finally here! Monday morning at 5:45, Nov. 1st we were scheduled to be at the hospital to have our little baby girl. My mom came to the house while Blake slept and Spencer and I were off.
We got into our room and they hooked me up to the IV and started pumping the fluids. By 7:30 we were walking back to the operating room, and by 8:02 they pulled out our baby girl.
She weighed 8 lbs 1 oz. and is 20 inches long- bigger than Blake. By 9:15 we were back in our room, and were snuggling our new addition. Blake came with my mom 45 minutes later and we were an official family of 4.
It took us 4 days but we finally committed to a name, Quinn Mae Abney. She's been an absolute ANGEL and sleeps better than Blake ever did (or does for that matter) Blake is still a little indifferent to her, I've seen some ROYAL tantrums from him in the last week, but I've also seen some very tender moments between him and his baby sister Thueson. (This is what he insists on calling her, not sure who gave him the idea but he's been saying for months that he wants to name her Thueson, even when we say her name is Quinn, he refuses to call her that and says 'but her middle name is Thueson - so I call her Thueson' Who knows how long that will last, hopefully not too long. When he does say Quinn he says it so funny, it's a hard name for him for some reason. It makes me laugh every time - which makes me double over because laughing hurts my incision. She has been a perfect baby so far, we love her so much and she is worth the LONG wait. Spencer and Blake have been sick for a week, so it hasn't been total bliss coming home with a new baby :( if Quinn and I can avoid getting it, it will be a miracle! Just a few of the many pictures to come:
I LOVE when new babies sleep on your chest. This is my absolute favorite thing about newborns.

She holds her little feet together like this all the time, I swear she she can interlock her long toes - I've seen it and it's hilarious!
We put them in matching jerseys for the Saturdays game day - don't worry she's not really cross eyed - just looks like it in the picture. We love her! And we're loving our little family of 4!
